Welcome Message from the Athletic Director
Participation in athletics at Cornerstone is a unique opportunity and privilege to glorify the name of Jesus Christ on the fields of play. The primary purpose of athletics at CCA is to allow student-athletes to grow in their relationship with Christ. This happens through the discipline taught through practices and games and the concept of teamwork required to have a successful program.
The Athletic Department strives to be successful in all sports, but not at the expense of our Christian testimony. All the coaching staff members have a personal relationship with Christ and are involved in a local church whose fundamental beliefs agree with this school's Statement of Faith. Coaches will take time throughout the season and off-season to disciple the athletes on their teams to grow in their relationships with Christ.
The Athletic Department strives to enhance and support the overall mission of CCA. The mission of Cornerstone Christian Academy is to equip students to reach their God-given potential. A Christian worldview foundation is taught as the building blocks of academics, athletics, fine arts, and technology. The Athletic Department and our coaches desire that you as a parent and student will also partner with us to have meaningful and successful athletic programs that Glorify Christ on and off the field at CCA.

Equipping students to reach their God-given potential
We believe participation in athletics is a unique privilege designed to glorify Jesus Christ on the field of play. Our goal is for student-athletes to deepen their relationship with Christ through the discipline and teamwork cultivated in sports. While we strive for success in all sports, maintaining our Christian testimony is our top priority. Our dedicated coaching staff have personal relationships with Christ and focus on helping athletes grow spiritually throughout the season and beyond.

Our Athletics Program
Archery
Cornerstone’s archers compete in 3 different disciplines of archery at various local, regional, and national championships and have won numerous awards. In the 2023 academic year, 6 team members won national championship awards.
We offer this program to students in grades 3 - 12.
Basketball
Our basketball team has consistently performed well at various championships. The Junior Varsity and Varsity high school teams compete in the North Carolina Christian school athletic association.
We offer this program to students in grades K - 12.
Baseball
We offer this program to students ages 8, 10, and 12. High school baseball is also available.
Soccer
We offer fall soccer for students in grades K - 6 and spring soccer for students in grades 7 - 12.
Volleyball
The volleyball team is highly competitive. In 2023, the high school team brought home the championship at the A.C.E. Regional Student Competition.
We offer this program to boys and girls in grades 3 - 5. For middle and high school, volleyball is offered only for girls.
Upcoming athletics program
